Lake Geneva Farmer’s Market is open for the season every Thursday in Horticultural Hall from 8am to 1pm.  You will find farm fresh produce, bakery, organic cheese, hand made crafts, plants and flowers in the historic setting of Horticultural Hall.

The city of Lake Geneva offers many water sport activities and you can find more opportunities for Water Sports in the Lake Geneva Area.  In a previous post I talked about water sports in Lake Geneva, in this post I will focus on the Lake Geneva Area.

Geneva Lake Shore Path

The 21-mile
Geneva Lake shore path allows hikers to literally walk through the back
yards of striking century-old mansions. The path was created by the
region’s earliest settlers who dictated that the 20 feet of land
directly up from the shoreline be deemed public domain. Today, their
edict provides walkers with an unprecedented view of some of the most
beautiful homes and landscaping in the Midwest.

Here are some options that will help you discover the Geneva Lake Shore Path during your visit to Lake Geneva and The Mill Creek Hotel.

can traverse the shore path and be picked up by one of our boats at
specific points around the lake like Williams Bay or Fontana.  All

Lake Geneva Baker House Fire and Ice Lounge Opening Soon

The historic Baker House,in downtown Lake Geneva, home of Wisconsin’s very first Ice Bar, will once again be transforming its lakefront garden into a winter wonderland featuring their 3rd annual ‘Fire & Ice Lounge’. (this is re-posted with permission from The Baker House press release)

Festivities at the downtown hotel & restaurant will coincide with the U.S. National Snow Sculpting Competition in downtown and will officially begin Friday, February 1st at 4pm with the ringing of the mansion bell-tower and ceremonial first run of the ice luge. The brilliance of the ‘Fire & Ice Lounge’ at sunset becomes heavenly with the appearance of ‘Ice Angels’ serving fireside drinks in cups made entirely of ice. There will be an array of savory delights and hot toddy’s available as well as the Baker House Signature Snow-cones topped with flavor infused SKYY vodkas. For those who prefer something a little less chilly, there will be warm ‘Fancy Shanty’s’ with fur covered benches and fireplaces to sit by.
